The import of hunting weapons to South Africa and Zimbabwe are free (declaration at customs upon arrival suffices), but Tanzania charges a government fee of $150.00 per rifle brought into the country. The legislation governing international flights demands that rifles and ammunition be transported in lockable cases.
When booking, specify the animals you wish to hunt. All hunters from countries which are signatory to CITES Convention must bring a photocopy or their original CITES permit for Leopard, Elephant, Crocodile, Lion and Hippopotamus. CITES permits can be obtained from Federal Wildlife Permit Office.
A valid passport is needed. South Africa requires no Visa. Zimbabwe requires a Visa, ($30).
Tanzania requires a Visa, $50. You can get information from the Embassy of Tanzania by writing or telephoning: E 139 R St. Nw, Washington, DC 20008, Tel: (202) 939-6125.
Tanzania requires a Yellow Fewer vaccination.
While every effort is made to ensure the hunting clients safety, no responsibility can be accepted for any illness, accident or loss. It will be expected of clients to sign an indemnity form.
